They're basically identical. They have the exact same functionality with minor differences. Both objects are controlled directly by the player

At that point, we might as well merge all three to Flipper (or give that one the identifier of "gate" and make the other three merged article just "Flipper" without an identifier, if preferable), because that too is a pair of standard pinball flippers put in a different context. rend (talk) (edits) 22:26, November 26, 2022 (EST)

I don't think the Mario Kart one should be merged. It's bigger and acts as an obstacle, not as a "playable character".
