Snifit or Whiffit (known as Hit It or Snifit in the British English version of Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and Whifit or Snifit in Paper Mario: Color Splash's game description in the Nintendo eShop) is a game show which appears in the Paper Mario series. The game first appears in Paper Mario: Sticker Star, replacing the role of the 64th Trivia Quiz-Off from Paper Mario and the Super Fun Quirk Quiz from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. A sequel to the show, called Snifit or Whiffit: Seabed Edition later appears in Paper Mario: Color Splash. In both cases, the game is hosted by a Snifit and has a Snifit audience.

History
I do not have any current projects at this time.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
The show makes its first appearance in Paper Mario: Sticker Star, where it is accessed in World 3-10, Stump Glade. After Mario drops into a large, hollow stump, he finds himself in a darkened room. Suddenly, a spotlight appears, and the stage lights up, revealing a cheering crowd of Snifits. As it turns out, Mario and Kersti are on the set of a game show called Snifit or Whiffit. A host with the name Snifit appears and introduces himself and Mario to the viewers, then reveals the grand prize for clearing all of the show's challenges: an escaped Wiggler Segment. Mario is then given the choice of participating on the show or dropping out.

If Mario chooses to be a contestant on the show, he must clear three challenges to win. The first challenge is a basic true/false quiz, the second challenge is a Whack-a-Mole game, and the third challenge is a shuffle game. After all three challenges are completed, Mario will receive the Wiggler Segment as his prize, the show will end, and Mario is taken backstage, where he can collect the Comet Piece to complete the level.

Backstage, the Snifit or Whiffit hosts talks to Mario in private, telling him he did a great job on the show and that they have prepared a special challenge for him, which also has a prize. Once again, Mario has the choice of accepting the challenge or bailing out. If he accepts, he will be taken to another stage, where the final challenge is played. If this challenge is completed, Mario is taken to his prize: the Radiator (if the bonus round is cleared and the Radiator has already been collected, the reward will be coins instead).

If Mario completes the challenges while a Wiggler Segment watches in the audience, it will inspire a new Wiggler's Diary entry. Also, =after Gooper Blooper has been defeated and the forest has been cleansed, if Mario visits the backstage area, he will find an HP-Up Heart.

The Snifit or Whiffit host and several Snifits also appear during the end parade.

Paper Mario: Color Splash
In Paper Mario: Color Splash, the show takes place in Cobalt Base. At the start of the level, a blue Snifit outside the building will offer to sell Mario a pack of cards for 1,000 coins, which contains all of the cards needed to get through each round. If Mario has been on the show at least once, the Snifit will sell a Complete Set for 500 coins and a Bonus Set for 2,000 coins.

While trying to get a blue Mini Paint Star, Mario and Huey fall through a trapdoor, leading to a pipe which leads to a dark area underwater. Once again, the setting lights up, revealing a set for Snifit or Whiffit: Seabed Edition.

The show has been changed: there are now seven rounds, and only four are required to win the grand prize, which is a blue Mini Paint Star. If all of the challenges are cleared, Mario will be invited to participate in a bonus round. Questions can now be passed (although they will be marked wrong), and Battle Cards are now used to answer the questions. If Mario is running out of paint, the host will offer to refill his paint meter at a price of 100 coins.

Similarly to the previous game, Mario has the option of accepting or declining being a contestant on the show. If he refuses to be a contestant, however, rather than being tossed out of the set, a Big Urchin will appear and pop Mario's bubble, causing an instant Game Over. This Big Urchin will also appear if Mario answers a question incorrectly, and will pop his bubble after three questions are answered incorrectly, causing a Game Over. If Mario advances to the bonus round and answers one question incorrectly, the Big Urchin will still appear and pop the bubble.

Challenges
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Pick-and-Choose Panic
The first challenge in the show is a true/false quiz. The host will give Mario a statement, which he must identify as true or false by hitting a ✔ block for true and an ✘ block for false. Mario must answer three correctly to advance to the next challenge. The challenge is held in a room pumping poisonous gas, causing Mario's HP to drain every few seconds.

The questions asked are chosen at complete random, though there is a set number of possible questions. The answers to some of the questions also vary, as they have a true and false wording.

Big Bonking Snifit Bash
Known as "Snifit Bash Up" in the British English version, the second challenge of the show involves Mario having to bash the heads of "unpaid Snifit interns" ("young Snifits on work experience" in the British English version) with the hammer, similar to the Whack-a-Mole game in real life. There are four holes that Snifits briefly appear from, and Mario must hammer twenty Snifits to advance. Occasionally, hearts which recover 5 HP also appear briefly from the holes.

Unrelentingly Exciting Shuffle Game
The final challenge is a shell game. There are three blocks, with only one containing a check mark; the others have not only an "X" but also a Snifit. Mario must select the correct block three times to win. Hitting one of the Snifit blocks triggers a battle with a Snifit, but the room also fills with poison gas as soon as the battle begins. After each battle, the blocks that once contained Snifits remain empty until the round is over. Selecting the correct block also gives Mario a heart to recover 5 HP. The speed at which the blocks shuffle also changes with each round, and in the final round, a fourth block is added. During the challenge, Mario always faces the direction of the correct block. Completing this takes Mario to a backstage area, where he can finish the level.

Big-Bonking-Panic-Pick-And-Choose Snifit Bash
The show's secret, optional bonus challenge is a combination of the first and second challenges. The room is filled again with poisonous gas. Mario is given a true or false question (the questions are unchanged from the first challenge), but must hammer five Snifits before he can answer. In addition, the question only remains on-screen while Mario is still bashing the Snifits; it disappears as soon as he is able to answer. As with the first challenge, answering three questions correctly results in victory, allowing Mario to obtain the bonus prize, which is the Radiator.

Challenges in Paper Mario: Color Splash
Primary Rounds
# Spinning Cards: Portions of a single card will spin at random until all portions have spun at least once.
# Kelp Cards: Three cards will enter the screen and cross from the left and right sides. Three strips of kelp block some of the player's view.
# Entwined Cards: Two cards will split into fourths, intermix with each other, then reveal themselves as one big card. After two flips, the player must guess.
# Paint That Card: A card will be painted in front of the player. They must remember which card it is and how much to paint it.
# Card Roulette: Three cards will stream across the screen in opposite directions and speeds in thirds, similar to the mini-game from Super Mario Bros. 3. The player must identify all three.
# Falling Cards: Three cards fall from the top of the screen to the bottom. They are angled in different ways to make it unclear what the player is looking at.
# Card Recall: Four cards will be held in front of the player. They will then go away and only three will return. The player must identify the missing card.

Bonus Rounds
# Falling Cards 2: Three more cards will fall in the same manner as in the "Falling Cards" round, but this time Cheep Cheeps and Bloopers swim across to block the player's view.
# Kelp Cards 2: Three more cards will move side to side like in the "Kelp Cards" round, but this time there are five pieces of kelp blocking more of the player's view.
# Card Recall 2: Three cards will float in a circle, each being held by either a Cheep Cheep, Blooper, or Snifit. The player then must identify the specific card a specifically named character was holding.

The story begins with a Toad entering the attic of Peach's Castle, looking for the source of a draught. Luigi appears and agrees to help him. They find a mysterious hole in the wall, which the Toad suspects to contain the draught. Luigi begins to investigate but is startled by a Scaredy Rat, which causes him to fall off the bookshelf. Luigi then sneezes and slams backward into the bookshelf, causing a book to fall off its shelf and open. Suddenly, all the Paper characters within are released and spread them throughout the Mushroom Kingdom. Paper Toads are seen landing near Toad Villages, while Bowser's minions begin to encounter their paper counterparts.

Paper Peach, however, remains at the castle and is taken to Princess Peach. As the princesses, Luigi, Mario, and Starlow begin to figure out what happened, a Toad rushes in, announcing the unexpected arrival of the Paper characters. Mario and Luigi help find Paper Toads, which are hiding in the lobby. After being rescued, they reveal that all the other Paper Toads they were with were captured by Bowser's minions, but they were able to escape. Paper Peach then realizes that the Bowser from her world might now in their world, along with all of his minions; however, this means that the Mario from her world might have also been transported to their world. Mario, Luigi, and Starlow then set off on yet another adventure.

Before leaving the castle, they have a run-in with Nabbit, who has stolen several Bros. Attacks from a group of Toads, leaving Mario and Luigi with only two to use during battle. They also run into Toadette, who mentions her plans to build a life-size Papercraft for the bros. and wishes them good luck. They are also given a Copy Block by some Paper Toads, who team up with Toadette for their next project. They finally begin to explore Sunbeam Plains, where they are immediately confronted by two Paper Goombas. After they are defeated, they run away, vowing to return.

Meanwhile, in Bowser's Castle, Kamek is giving an unsatisfactory status report to Bowser. Just then, Paper Bowser appears, confused about where he is. He and Bowser quickly get into a feud, each arguing that they are the true Bowser. Bowser Jr. and Paper Bowser Jr. are also introduced to each other, and after some bickering, they quickly form a connection.

Shortly after, Mario and Luigi are cornered by a large group of Paper Goombas. They turn into a wheel which quickly defeats Mario and Luigi. They prepare to leave to tell Bowser the good news, but are stopped by Paper Mario, who flutters down from the sky. They attempt to defeat him but are defeated themselves, and the Crinkle Goomba runs away, promising to return once again. Paper Mario officially joins them on their quest for the rest of the game.

After venturing further into the plains, they receive a delivery from a Paper Toad that had been rescued at Peach's Castle, which contains their first Trio Attack. Later after that, another Toad arrives to inform them that the castle had been invaded by both Bowsers, and that the princesses had been kidnapped again. At that moment, Bowser and Paper Bowser arrive in their Koopa Clown Cars with the princesses. They inform the trio that they have decided to set aside their differences to work together in order to achieve their shared goal of kidnapping the princess. Bowser attempts to further slow them down by summoning Petey Piranha out of the ground. After he is defeated, the trio is able to continue onward.

Just as the three brothers are about to leave Sunbeam Plains, they are hindered by Paper Kamek and a group of Goombas, who block the exit with a large Papercraft Goomba. Toadette appears and is inspired to make a bigger, better papercraft, requesting a number of Paper Toads to do the job. The trio is able to find them at a nearby Toad Village, and transport them to the castle with the help of Lakitu. They head back to the papercraft just as when the Goombas return, attempting to squish them. Fortunately, Toadette shows up with her first papercraft, which they use to defeat the papercrafts.

After entering Doop Doop Dunes, they spot Bowser's Castle in the distance, where several minions and paper minions are seen rallying. Meanwhile, Bowser Jr. and his paper counterpart complain about being bored, and plan to find and destory the book so that they will not have to be separated. While they are distracted, Peach and Paper Peach plan their way out. Paper Peach discovers she is able to slip through the bars of the cage, which gives them an idea.

Meanwhile, Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario spot Nabbit nearby and chase after him in an effort to recover Bros. Attacks as well as their hammers, which he had stolen. They manage to recover one Bros. Attack, Rocket Blast, and attempt to recover more, but are stopped by two Pokeys. After learning a new Trio Move, Trio Hammer, they attempt to cross a bridge, but are
prevented from doing so by the Tower Power Pokeys, who cause them to fall off and land in the Doop Doop Dunes Grotto. They escape to another Toad Village, where they locate more Paper Toads for their next project. The Toads give them a paper trampoline, which they use to reach a higher ledge, where they are able to battle and defeat the Pokey duo.
