Togemen are enemies that appear in Wario Land II. They are short dark-colored creatures (described as "spiked beetles" by Nintendo Power)[1] with white limbs, wearing a mask-like shell covered in spikes. They are similar to the Togemaru from Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. In the original, the shells are white, even on Super Game Boy, while in the Game Boy Color version, the shells are entirely purple, with white being used on other parts of their bodies.
Togemen remain quiet, but when Wario approaches them, they start jumping in his direction, trying to harm him. Coming in contact with their spikes will cause Wario to take damage and lose coins. To stun them, Wario has to attack their weak undersides or their unprotected back. Another attack or a thrown enemy will defeat the Togemen.
