Winding Up is a downloadable microgame in WarioWare: D.I.Y. and WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase. It was released on January 20, 2010 in Japan, December 20, 2010 in North America and January 21, 2011 in Europe.

Gameplay

The objective of the game is to wind the tape of a cassette back in using a pencil. To do this, the player must tap either the left or right arrow to rotate the pencil in the right direction. This must be done three times to fully wind in the tape. The pencil can appear in either the right spool or the left spool: Depending on which spool the pencil is in, the direction the player must rotate it also changes (if it is in the right spool, the right arrow must be tapped, and if it is in the left spool, the left arrow must be tapped). If the wrong arrow is tapped, the tape will go further out instead. The game is won when the tape is fully wound inside the tape.
