Xylophone Home (Strike a Chord in the British English version) is a General minigame from Mario Party: Island Tour. The American name is a pun on E.T.'s phrase "phone home".
Introduction
A sheet of musical keys is seen, and four notes drop down to the players. The Touch Screen shows how to play, and then the minigame begins.
Gameplay
The players must hit the key which the musical note is hovering over in time to the music. They can get one or two points by note based on the tempo. The player with the most points is the winner. The song playing is a remix of the Super Mario Bros. overworld theme.
Controls
– Hit keys
In-game text
- Rules – American English "Tap the keys in time with the musical notes."
- Rules – British English "Hit the keys with the right timing to get the musical notes."
