Newspaper
The Newspaper sticker from Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Description
"Like a book but with more stories. Also more versatile: lay it out to sit on, roll it up to swat flies, or eat fish and chips out of it."
First appearance Paper Mario: Sticker Star (2012)

Template:Quote2 The Newspaper is a Thing in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is found through Whitecap Beach's Secret Door. It remains in Mario's Album until it is turned into a sticker at a Sling-a-Thing station. Once it has been used as a sticker, it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from the Shady Toad for 100 Coins.

As a sticker, the Newspaper takes up 1 square in Mario's album. When it is used in battle, the background disappears and a scoreboard will appear, followed by the Newspaper, which will hit all enemies on the battlefield one at a time. Additionally, if the player mashes A Button as the Newspaper is about to hit the enemies, they take additional damage. It is the weakest of the club-based Things in the game.

The Newspaper can also be placed into the Sticker Museum as #17, alongside the Toy Bat and the Bat. Its description identifies it as a rolled tube of sheets of paper.
