Let's quickly go over all the names this item has had in the games it was in/mentioned in:
*SMB3: Here they are striped, and are known as '''candy rings''' by Nintendo Power and '''lifesavers'''/'''life savers''' by PRIMA.
*NSMBW: In this game, they're now yellow and are known as '''deadly rings''' and '''death rings''' by PRIMA, but just '''rings''' in the trading card.
*NSMBU: In this game, they are referred to as '''energy rings''' by PRIMA.
*SMM2: No name given by external sources and/or the game, and I doubt the internal name is anything noteworthy.
*M&LSS: Called '''golden rings''' by the Player's guide and '''magic rings''' by PRIMA.
*M&LPJ: No external name or in-game name given.
*M&LBIS+BJJ: In-game they are referred to as '''boomerang rings''' because they act like boomerangs now.
*PMCS: Wendy calls her ring a '''golden ring''' in-game.
*MK8: They're called '''magic rings''' in Wendy's bio.
*M&S2016: The dialogue in-game just calls these '''rings'''.
