I wouldn't really call this a "series," it's more just two games, the second of which is a sequel. The "name" is contestable as well, it's just a convenient shorthand for "Donkey Kong" and the lang-of-origin titles aren't even close to each other (''Burabura Donkey'' and ''Donkey Kong Jungle Climber''). :Not going to argue one way or the other since I don't know much about these games, but is your intention to apply this to any series with two games, or is this an outlier? --{{User:Waluigi Time/sig}} 18:21, March 1, 2022 (EST)

::I think in general, two games based around a fairly vague gimmick isn't really qualifying for a "series." The sports games like ''Mario Baseball'' seem actually valid as a series, but these just come off as off-kilter DKC spinoffs to me. I think in general, two games based around a fairly vague gimmick isn't really qualifying for a "series." The sports games like Mario Baseball seem actually valid as a series, but these just come off as off-kilter DKC spinoffs to me. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:32, March 1, 2022 (EST)
