The Piranha Bean is a Piranha Plant that highly resembles a smaller version of Petey Piranha. More or less, it is the Beanbean Kingdom's equivalent to the Piranha Plant.
The Piranha Bean is one of the bosses in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga found near Beanbean Castle Town. However, it is the game's boss for the Beanstar piece in the Yoshi Theater. One of the Bean Fruits is here, and Luigi must be seperated from Mario to find it. It turns out that the fruit was swallowed by the Piranha Bean, and Luigi must battle it solo. In the end, Luigi discovers that Prince Peasley too was swallowed.
