This article is about the minigame in Mario Party 2. For the microgame known as "Driver's Ed" in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, see Road Wario.

Template:Minigame-infobox Driver's Ed is a Special minigame found in Mario Party 2. As its name implies, it is set in a driving school. To obtain the minigame, the player has to buy all 4-Player, 1-vs-3, 2-vs-2, Item, and Battle games. The minigame will then show up as a pear on Woody. When selected, the minigame commences. The camera shows the player where to start, go, and finish at the end. This is the only single-player minigame in Mario Party 2, excluding Item minigames. It is also the only minigame where the announcer says, "Time up!"

Gameplay

The player must drive through the cones in the order written on the balloons within one minute. The player also has to pass them in the correct order when going through correctly by direction, because if the player drives to the wrong balloon, drives to the correct balloon but in the wrong direction, or runs out of time, the player loses. This minigame has five different courses.

If the player clears the minigame and sets a new record, "New Record!" pops up. If the player clears but does not set a new record, "New Record!" does not pop up, but the Win music will play.

Controls

  • Control Stick up – Move forward
  • Control Stick down – Move backward
  • Control Stick left / Control Stick right – Change direction

In-game text

  • Game Rules"Drive through the cones in the order written on the balloons. Try to finish in the fastest time possible."
