They appear in ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]'' and its remake ''[[Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3]]'' in which they would swim at the [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]], blocking its path. The Yoshi could defeat them in its [[Yoshi Submarine]] form with a single torpedo. They have the same name as Cheep Cheeps in Japan (Pukupuku).
