Delfino Airstrip

The Delfino Airstrip is where tourists first come to when visiting Isle Delfino, as this is where planes land. When Mario, Princess Peach, and Toadsworth landed here the plane almost crashed since Goop was smackdab in the middle of the airstrip. Along with the Goop left a small unnoticeable hole that the Goop sucked in. Toadsworth asked Mario to find information. He did find FLUDD who proved to be invaluable in getting rid of the Goop. Peach also had seen Shadow Mario here as well. Mario and FLUDD then started squirting the Goop until all that was left was the center which couldn't be cleaned away easily. Out came a huge Piranha Plant in the Generator, which Mario would squirt water into his mouth three times when he opened it. When it was defeated, all the Goop cleared away and the shining center platform rose and out came a Shine Sprite.

It wasn't until he defeated Bowser and Bowser Jr. that he would come back to the Airstrip. There he would collect Red Coins and earn another Shine Sprite. Also when he came back to the Airstrip it was covered with Strollin' Stus.

• Delfino means "Dolphin" in Italian so the translation for this place would be Dolphin Airstrip.
