Template:Minigame-infobox Grabby Gridiron is a 2-vs.-2 minigame that is found in Mario Party 8.

Introduction

The camera first shows a jumbo TV screen in the game that shows a football rotating as a futuristic techno version of the Super Mario Bros. Underground Theme plays. Then the other camera moves and shows the two teams coming out from the bottom side of the area. The main camera moves away from the large TV screen and hovers into position where all the players in the area are in the positions. Then the minigame begins.

Gameplay

The teams attempt to get points by getting the football to the goal depending on the team's color players have. The cannon at the far top side of the area shoots out the first two footballs; then they start to bounce by the walls, making it hard for teams to get the footballs. When a team player gets a football, the player has to quickly go to their team's goal. When one of the teams gets the football into the goal, the cannon shoots another football to anywhere on the field. The status bar on the screen indicates how many footballs a team has thrown into the goal. The players can also attack other players by simply punching. If the player punches another player who has the football, the player will drop it; anyone has a chance to get it. Additionally, the teams can also jump from the ground to pass the football to each other. The first team to get five footballs in its goal wins.

Ending

The winning players are shown celebrating on the jumbo screen while the losing players sulk behind them.
