Club Mario Segments

Yes, I know Club Mario is rather obscure, but if segments of it are found, should synopsis of them be made in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episodes? I think a Club Mario segment of "The Unzappables / George Washington Slept Here" is fully intact on Yahooligans, replacing it's regular live-action segment; by the way, what should be done about that? -- Sir Grodus

The problem with this is simply that the Club Mario segments aside from the Unzappables one are impossible to find, from what I can tell. But here's my idea: Provide a Club Mario summary in place of "George Washington Slept Here" for "The Unzappables" article, with a notice in the trivia section. It's unlikely that another Club Mario episode will surface, but if one does, maybe make a seperate sub-category like with the live action segments from the Zelda series, and throw any Club Mario episode articles in there (although I have no idea as to what the "names" of the Club Mario episodes even are. -- Booster

Sounds good and yeah, I think Club Mario segments are unnamed or something. Some kind of conjectural name could be used though, I suppose. -- Sir Grodus

Okay, I've been thinking. We really shouldn't be bothering with the Club Mario segments for two good reasons:

  1. Information is very scarce, except for that Joe Piscopo segment on Yahooligans.
  2. The show has next to nothing to do with Mario, other than a few mentions. Yes, it aired along with Mario cartoon episodes, so the Club Mario page is valid, but like The Legend of Zelda, does not qualify for episode articles. The page we had for "The Wizard" was deleted for this same reason - The overall plot was not Mario-related. -- Booster

Userbox

Since I had some spare time, I made a userbox for the PipeProject:

Mario cartoons's Userbox Tower
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! Vol. 2 DVD boxset.

Nice! I altered it a tiny bit to give it similar wording to the other PipeProject userboxes.

SMBSSbox Changes

Hello hard workers. I have perfected a master list of Super Show episodes on my test page. When all 52 episode pages have been created, and SMBSSbox has been added to all of them appropriately, this list will be complete and can be used in the main article as a guest star & Mario Episodes list.

In order to make this work, I had to make 4 changes to the way the template is used in articles. Take a look at the old template style for "The Bird! The Bird! / Neatness Counts":

NOW:

Differences:

  1. Instead of a | sign in a piped link or image code, use the template , which contains the sign |. This way DPL will still understand the coding as well as the template
  2. To conserve space in the big table, use:
    1. shorthand format for dates (didn't realize they were all 1989, but since there are other shows the year is OK to stay)
    2. 200px for image size instead of 250px
  3. The # variable doesn't appear in the template, but is called on for DPL. It's the # of the episode in which it aired.

That's all, and all I ask is to use the new style for future episode articles. Keep up the good work in this PipeProject! Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 22:36, 21 May 2007 (EDT)

Character Box

I thought this was a good idea, could a character box be made for the cartoon characters? It could include the basic stuff like species, full name, etc., as well as the show they appear in and their first and final episodes and stuff like that. -- Sir Grodus

Maybe we could add show-related variables to the current character infobox we have now, since they'll only appear if they're filled in. But yeah, it's a good idea (and project). -- Booster

Split Changes

Some of the links on this page are still in the "merged" format. Can someone who works on this project fix all of those, and state each separate 11-min ep gets its own article? Thanks. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 00:04, 22 September 2007 (EDT)

I think all the episodes are split now, I'm not 100% sure though. -- Sir Grodus
