The current article says this game is a retool of SMB1, but I'll argue that it is a retool of the Lost Levels with mostly VS levels reconstructed for it. The physics are TLL, almost all the graphics are TLL, the Mario or Luigi game mode as opposed to a 2-player mode, the A-D Worlds that can only be accessed after beating it 8 times, there are Super Springs, etc. They took TLL and grafted SMB1/VS levels while removing wind and poison mushrooms.--Platform (talk) 17:23, January 19, 2021 (EST)

Mushroom Platforms are reskinned as cloud platforms in TLL, it wouldn't be too difficult for them to restore the mushroom paltforms. With all the evidence, it's clearly a retool of the updated TLL engine rather than the original.--Mariofan5000 (talk) 18:05, January 19, 2021 (EST)

How did you guys find out about this? Can you please cite your source?--RapidRocker Brawl FC:4296-2708-0195 15:22, 5 January 2008 (EST)

Other than the fact that I've heard/met many people who have played it, there is an official boxart and screenshots posted...I can't say much. But its a real game. papertoycf7.gif Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back! papertoycf7.gif

There's also the Japanese Wikipedia article on it...

[All-Night Nippon SMB (JP)]

I've tried doing an excite Translate on the article

[Excite translation]

Oh, and I also should say that on NicoNicoDouga there's a nice archive of old All-Night Nippon.

Also, some more links. [All Night Nippon on the US Wikipedia]

[All Night Nippon Official Website] - [Kiddo], can never figure out how to properly handle "discussion" pages on Wikis.

They're not nescient, and who are I guys? This game is gay—LOL. Lysdexia 18:56, 13 December 2009 (EST)

How to Access the Extra Worlds?

It seems that the conditions to get to Worlds A-D for this game are different from the SMB2 (JPN) Version.--Arima 06:46, 3 March 2012 (EST)

False Information

I played this game online on a site called nintendo8.com, and the world 1 mushroom retainer is still a toad. Can I see a pic of these changed mushroom retainers? -MarioManiac164 (talk)

The article is talking about the FDS release of the game, the online game you've played is most-likely a hack of the original to resemble the FDS version, thus the Mushroom Retainers are left the same. Anyway, here are the sprites:

The Minus World

I recently played the FDS (real) version, I did the minus world glitch method, and when I entered the 1st pipe, I was teleported to the ground to the left of the normal exit pipe, meaning the glitch is in a way fixed.

Retool of the Lost Levels

The current article says this game is a retool of SMB1, but I'll argue that it is a retool of the Lost Levels with mostly VS levels reconstructed for it.
