New Comic

Hey, IS, Glitchman here again. I'm making a new comic and I was wondering if you wanted to help out. If you don't, that's fine, but leave this message here in case anyone reading your page does!

Excellent! I just need some help, from as many users as possible, to find sprites and pictures that I can use in the comic. This may be a challenge, as I need them all to have either Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, or SMRPG graphics. Super Mario 64 I will accept too, though. The characters I will feature in the comics will be Mario, Luigi, Mallow, Wario, Booster, the Axem Rangers, Bowyer, Princess Peach, Toad, Goomba, Lakitu, Hammer Brother, Cheep-Cheep, False Bowser, Podoboos, and Ludwig von Koopa. Of course, I guess I don't need to have all of these guys, but I want the comic to be pretty long. If you have any other suggestions, I'm open to them.

P.S. - If the sprite and pics searching doesn't work out, I'll just have to handwrite the comic, which might take a month or so. Because the task for searching for good sprites might take a while, I'll give the project about three weeks or so before I just decide to handwrite it. By the way, sorry about your parental control problem.

Thanks for the link, IS! I'm pretty sure, in fact, that they and classic gaming gamespy had all of the sprites and pics I'll be needing for the comic. However, I am facing a problem that currently prevents me from posting the comic. All of the sprites are on huge sheets, and you cannot copy them individually. I've never used sprites on my user page before, so I don't know how I can just use some of them and leave others out. Is there a way to do that?

Hmmm, I was afriad of that. I'm not planning to use an entire sprite sheet in the comic, more like different scenes with different characters and places in them, like a genuine comic. Of course, they don't necessarily have to be sprites in the comic, they could just be shrunken pictures of the characters presented in a comical way. So far I've found one site that has individual sprites for Mallow, Bowyer, Booster, Axem Rangers, and Bowser (whom I may have to replace Ludwig von Koopa for eventually). I might be able to use one sprite sheet in the comic, but I still will need more pics and sprites. There's plenty of time to find more though, and I probably do not need too many more anyway.

Thanks, IS. Right now I'm organizing the plot, characters, and places of the comic. Once I have all of the sprites and pics, I will hope to have the comic completed and posted in a week or less. Once it's posted, feel free to use any of the sprites you didn't find!

Hopefully I won't even have to leave MarioWiki and videogamesprites.net. I made a completely new idea for the comic, one that will be shorter and with less characters, so it will be easier to make and it will all fit on the page. I have all of the sprites I need at the site mentioned, luckily. I don't have a set completion date for it, that'll depend on the difficulty I have uploading the sprites, but I'll post one soon as I can. I think it'll just be a small comic, but I'll probably give it a sequel soon after it's done. Is it O.K. if I use your username as a character in the comic? You can choose between Mario or Luigi, if you'd like. Even if you don't want your username in it though, I'll still give you credit for helping out.

SMRPG Virtual Console!?!?!

Did you hear!? SMRPG was supposed to be released THIS MONTH, and on the VERY LAST DAY OF THE MONTH the shop got an update...NO SMRPG!!! I've tried researching the subject, but all info seems to have vanished in just one day!!! I've even seen a rumor on Wikipedia for a 2009 release. Bah!

Hey IS, just wanted to let you know that my comic is done, and I don't know if you checked or not but you were portrayed as Mario.
