- The first theme heard in the game wouldn't necessarily make it the base theme, though. "Bob-omb Battlefield" has been named the "main theme" for Mario 64 in the official soundtrack and in Smash. Mario JC 01:28, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
- I always took that as to mean "the most commonly heard throughout the game." For all we know, none are the true "base" one, but I suppose "main" is still close enough. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:00, September 28, 2019 (EDT)
