This special attack can be blocked by wearing a Wake Up Pin, Safety Badge, Safety Ring, Lazy Shell or a Super Suit. This special attack is normally used by Shy Guys, Sling Shys, Ding-A-Lings and Carroboscis, and it seems that the unused subspecies of Hippopo, Crippo, uses this attack too.
