Template:Missionbox The Pit and the Pendulums is the second mission of Tick Tock Clock, exclusive to Super Mario 64. In Super Mario 64 DS, it is replaced with The Pendulum Switch Star. This mission can be done at any of the clock's speeds. The name of this mission is a pun on the short story "The Pit and the Pendulum" by Edgar Allan Poe.
Layout
Mario needs to climb the clockworks until he gets to the pole with the Amp circling it. After climbing the pole, Mario needs to cross the platform with the Heave-Ho and jump across a spinning platform to reach two swinging pendulums. Mario needs to jump and use the platform between the pendulums without getting pushed off to reach the Power Star.
