::That's likely just referring to the band in general terms, so I don't think that should be its name. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 01:04, June 23, 2020 (EDT) |

The band's name seems to have been taken from the credits (listed under "Performance"), though I'm pretty sure it's referring to the real-life band assembled to perform the music for Odyssey (like the Mario 3D World Big Band), not the fictional one in-game. The sound selection on iTunes even lists them as the artist for the songs in the game (notice too it says "feat.Kate Davis" and not "feat.Pauline"). Unless there's another source for its actual name, I think we should move it to a conjectural name like "New Donk City Band". Mario JC 06:35, 11 January 2019 (EST)
- You're right. The article currently uses the in-game credits as a source, which obviously doesn't refer to the fictional band. This page must be moved and another page for the musicians who performed the SMO soundtrack must be created.
I'm not opposed the conjectural name you suggested, but I think it could be moved to a more generic name, like "Band", as referred to in the "Getting the Band Together" mission.
