These boost tickets are no longer appearing in the daily selects since 2.1.0 so this wiki needs to be updated to reflect this.
Level boost tickets only appear in regulation once a week and are able to be purchased with gold stars for completing cups in tours. What appears instead in the daily select is an image of a kart and a max bar under the kart.
This is basically ruining the Mario economy as gold is literally worthless to a player who has maxed out any of the characters that typically show up on the daily select.
Without level boost tickets there is nothing of value to buy in the daily selects store for someone who has played for a while and already max leveled much of what displays in the store.
With nothing to buy the only place left to spend your rubies is the pipe pull which will only generate tons of money you can't spend.
This basically breaks the game for me as i will not spend any more money amassing rubies when the gold that comes from pipe pulls is useless and can't be spent on anything of value.
The level tickets were very good for incentivising me to spend gold as there are targeted drivers/karts/gliders not in daily select or the pipe pull that need to be upgraded in level to win races.
Without a use for amassing gold there is almost no reason to amass rubies unless you need a spot light character to win a Tour.

Template:Item-infobox Level-boost tickets are items in Mario Kart Tour used to increase the skill level of a specific driver, kart, or glider by filling up the gauge to level up with 1. If the driver, kart, or glider has already reached the maximum skill level, no further level-boost tickets can be used. Silver level-boost tickets can be obtained from Tour Gifts. Golden and amethyst-golden level-boost tickets can be obtained from Tour Gifts as well, but only if a player is subscribed to the Gold Pass. Level-boost tickets of a certain class can also appear in the shop, but only after the player has gotten at least one driver, kart, or glider of that class to level 6.

  • Mario Kart Tour Twitter: "Use your blue level-boost tickets! Higher level drivers are more likely to activate frenzy mode, higher level karts have a higher bonus-point multiplier, and higher level gliders have a longer combo time duration. On favorite courses, a bonus-points boost will be added!"[1]
