Wario World is Wario's first foray into 3-D. The game didn't sell very well, so it's questionable whether more 3-D adventures featuring Wario will be created.
Wario is sleeping in his castle when one of his treasure, a black diamond, awakens. It uses it's power to kick Wario out of his castle and turn the other treasures into enemies. Wario must beat the enemies to get his treasure and his castle back.
The game contains fifteen levels connected by a central hub. Each level has multiple objectives, the first being to beat the boss.
