| You see, what would the Mario universe explanation for {{wp|sudden arrhythmic death syndrome}} (also known as, "dying in your sleep") be? Simple: down there in the [[Subcon]], [[Wart]] and his minions have devised a cruel synthetic intelligence technology that allowed them to produce a very tough type of Shy Guy. This prosthetic Shy Guy, nick-named "BYE Guy" to signify that it's the last thing you see before your consciousness fades away, is programmed to chase a subject in their dreams and obliterate them, which takes effect in their own physical world as well. {{wp|Freddie Krueger|Sounds familiar, right}}?

| However, cases of sleep death are very rare, since Wart's plan is not to exterminate the population of the Mushroom World but is merely an built upon his desires from ''[[Super Mario Bros. 2]]'' to haunt them beyond the land of dreams. Wanna know why Toad turned blue in ''[[Super Mario 3D World]]''? It's because he's not ''the'' Toad; [[Blue Toad (character)|Bucken Berry]] was appointed by [[Princess Peach]] as her trusted protector after the disappearance of their red-spotted, beloved mushroom retainer who participated to parties, go-karting and sport events. And wasn't Toad directly involved in Wart's defeat back when he captured the Subcon fairies? Could that mean that perhaps Wart still holds a grudge to the ones who foiled his plans, and that he might be looking for Princess Peach and the Mario brothers next, heavens forbid?

| Each night, Mario, Luigi and Peach keep a sharp eye out for each other as they travel through the land of Subcon. They know that their wonderful sleep can turn into a nightmare--one that they might never wake up from.

| Fuck mate, this thing was embarrasing as hell, but I came up with it in one evening because I had to fill up my page with something.
