The basic Gabon.
A Gabon is a small, Clubba-like enemy from Yoshi's Story. It may be a sub-species of Spike, the other Clubba-like enemies from Super Mario Bros. 3.
Gabons appear in the level Jungle Hut on Page 4. They regurgitate spike balls (much like Spike) and roll them down hills. The Yoshis may eat them, but the Green Yoshi likes them best.
According to the text seen after beating the level, the Baby Yoshi's apparently met one specific Gabon named "Gabon" while entering his house, the angered Gabon then threw various objects at the group of Baby Yoshi's. It does not state wht happened to Gabon after the Yoshi's entered his hut.
Trivia
- "Gabon" is also the name of an African country, which is fitting for these creatures because they're in a jungle-like area. However, it is unlikely that Gabons were named after this country, as "Gabon" also happens to be the name of the aforementioned Spike creatures (which they are very similar to) in Japan.
