P-Switches are items found in Super Mario World. When pressed, it changes something in the stage for a limited amount of time. The things they can do include filling the area with Gold Coins and turning Gold Coins into blocks or vice versa.
The gray version of the P-Switch makes most enemies turn into Gray Coins. Collect eight and Mario earns a 1-Up, then a 2-Up, and then 3-Ups for each coin thereafter.
