A Item Bag as seen from Mario Party 4.

A Item Bag is an item that is found in Mario Party 3 and Mario Party 4. The item's description has a question mark printed on the sack bag. In Mario Party 4; the sack bag had many question marks all over it.

The player can acquire this item by purchasing it from an ordinary Item Shop. The price of purchasing this item costs thirty Coins. If purchased; the player automatically opens the Item Bag, revealing three random items that the bag contained. The bag commonly contains normal items, other times it sometimes contains rare items normally not purchased from Item Shops. In addition, the bag can contain the same items, a pair of the same items, or all three different items.

However, there is a drawback when the player purchases this item. If the player has one or two items held in the player's inventory, the player can only acquire one of two new items depending how many items are in the inventory. The remaining item(s) in the bag remain inside and then the bag is discarded.
