Template:Minigame-infobox Canyon Cruisers is a Mario Party 8 extra minigame. The minigame is found in the Extras Zone in the game and is similar to Speeding Bullets from Mario Party 9. Like all Extra Zone games, the players can use Miis as well as the other available playable characters.
Introduction
The character rides a shiny blue car that flies in the air and drives for a few seconds. Then the character stops where two Shy Guys are holding up a red and white square banner. The minigame then starts.
Gameplay
The players must compete to reach the finish line, while avoiding hitting the walls various obstacles. The course starts out in a grassy land surrounded by mountains, where the racers must avoid hitting rocks. After entering a dark tunnel, they will exit into a canyon, where the road is dustier and more rocks are present. At the end of that segment is a second dark tunnel that leads out into a desert-like set of ruins vaguely reminescent of Ancient Rome. This segment is the longest and most difficult, with giant bricks obstructing the players. The finish line awaits at the end of the ruins.
Ending
After the player crosses the finish line, the character will wave his or her hand to the player.
