The mission is almost identical to the first mission in Super Mario 64. The Big Bob-omb reappears at the mountain's summit, awaiting a rematch after being defeated. He has received a new Power Star by Bowser, and he says that he can be beaten only if he is picked up from behind and thrown. The fight then plays out as it did in Super Mario 64. Once the Big Bob-omb has been thrown three times, he admits defeat, criticizing the player's sneaking skills, but complimenting the player's strength. He ends by stating his desire for the player to be his servant. After that, he explodes and releases his Power Star.
