Belcha the Barrel.

Belcha the Barrel is a giant animate barrel and the boss of the area Lake Orangatanga in the game Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!.

Belcha is immune to all of Dixie and Kiddy Kong's normal attacks. To defeat Belcha, the Kongs must jump on the barrels Belcha spits. These barrels contain Knik-Knaks inside. The Kongs must flip these Knik-Knaks on their backs by jumping on them, then these insects must be thrown into Belcha's mouth. This causes Belcha to burp, sending him backwards. If the Kongs can cause Belcha to burp enough times, he will send himself straight into a nearby pit. If the Kongs fail to defeat Belcha, he will eventually push the apes into a nearby pit (which has a turbine in it in the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 3).

Belcha is the only boss from Donkey Kong Country 3 to not reappear in Donkey Kong Land 3.

Trivia

  • Interestingly, one of the Banana Bird Caves in the Donkey Kong Country 3 is named "Belcha's Burrow". Despite having Belcha's name, this Banana Bird Cave is located a considerable distance away from Lake Orangatanga.
