Simply put, while it is spelt Mario Day by most people, whenever Nintendo officially celebrates this day they call it Mar10 Day. The only time that I remember them spelling the day Mario Day is the first time they officially celebrated the day with the video "Celebrate Mar. 10 - Mario Day!". Every other time they spelt it they spelt it as Mar10 Day which is its most recent name, which should take priority. {{User:Doomhiker/sig}} 12:24, 9 March 2019 (EST) | Simply put, while it is spelt Mario Day by most people, whenever Nintendo officially celebrates this day they call it Mar10 Day. - Nintendo celebrates it, and they do special stuff on the day too. I'm fairly certain that makes it official. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 12:11, 12 May 2017 (EDT)
- I think the question here is that "official" holidays typically refer to "holidays internationally recognized by government entities." Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:55, 12 March 2018 (EDT)
Rename to Mar10 Day[edit]
Simply put, while it is spelt Mario Day by most people, whenever Nintendo officially celebrates this day they call it Mar10 Day. The only time that I remember them spelling the day Mario Day is the first time they officially celebrated the day with the video "Celebrate Mar. 10 - Mario Day!". Every other time they spelt it they spelt it as Mar10 Day which is its most recent name, which should take priority. Doomhiker (talk) 12:24, 9 March 2019 (EST)
- The two stylizations are used interchangeably here here. I think that Mario Day is the proper style, with Mar10 Day being mainly used for promotional material.
