This is the discussion page of Hydrotoxinlaser!
Signatures
Hello, regarding your recent edit you added raw code for your signature. Per MarioWiki:Signatures complex raw code in signatures is not allowed so if you want to use a complex signature then you will have to create it as outlined on Help:Signature. Also, signature images must be 35 pixels in height or fewer, which your Mega Mushroom image is exceeding. Thanks! Doomhiker (talk) 15:29, 23 February 2019 (EST)
- Is this one okay? Hydro 13:05, 24 February 2019 (EST)
- Raw code is not allowed, if you want a complex signature then you will have to create a signature template as outlined on Help:Signature. However, your signature if it was a template would be acceptable. Doomhiker (talk) 13:58, 23 February 2019 (EST)
- I am not sure about it, but i think such a rule is completely superfluos. Hydro 13:05, 24 February 2019 (EST)

Please stop readding raw code for signatures on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
impertinent!

- Please stop readding complex raw code for your signature. The rule is there to prevent talk pages from being cluttered from complex signatures, and using a signature template makes it easier to add your own signature. Either use a simple {{User|Hydrotoxinlaser}} code or make a signature template for more complex signatures as outlined on Help:Signature, however using complex raw code for your signature is not allowed. Thanks for your understanding. Doomhiker (talk) 13:25, 23 February 2019 (EST)
- That is completely impertinent!!! I am not able to help in this wiki any longer if there are such superfluos rules, which restricts the individual users. And on top of that users are point to things impersonally and impertinently, i have never seen something like that before. That is very sad. :( Hydro
- Please do not remove reminders and warnings without an appeal, and the rules do not restrict individual users, they just maintain order, and you can still create a complex signature by creating a template for it. Also, other users and I are just trying to help you. Doomhiker (talk) 13:46, 23 February 2019 (EST)
- You also removed my signature without asking me before or tell me to remove it myself! Hydro
- Per MarioWiki:Signatures: "Your signature must be visible on your signature subpage. Posting signature coding directly onto a page is not allowed, unless your signature is a single, basic link (i.e. Myname). Raw coding that is added to talk pages will be stripped down to a basic link, or removed completely and replaced with the basic [[User:{{{1}}}|{{{1}}}]] ([[User talk:{{{1}}}|talk]]) signature in the form of Myname (talk))." Doomhiker (talk) 13:51, 23 February 2019 (EST)
- You can change the subject, but it is still completely impertinent!!! Hydro
- I am not changing the subject, I am enforcing the rules and explaining them. I am sorry if I came off as rude, as I am trying to help you. Doomhiker (talk) 13:59, 23 February 2019 (EST)
- This discussion is finished for me and I emphasize again, that this treat was non acceptable!

Calm down. This is our policy, and it is expected that you follow it. The reason why it is requested you have a signature subpage when using images in your signature, or at least one of the reasons, is so should the image ever be moved or replaced, there's only one link to fix instead of a possible hundred. It's also helpful for you, should you ever replace or move the image yourself. Does that make sense? 14:26, 24 February 2019 (EST)
Please stop forgetting to sign comments and removing the {{unsigned}} template on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
- (Following on what Alex95 said above this comment) Please do not add unsigned comments, and please be more respectful to other users. We are just trying to help you, and you are speaking unkindly to us, which is being discourteous. Please calm down, and remember that you can make a signature as outlined on Help:Signature. Doomhiker (talk) 14:46, 23 February 2019 (EST)
- You are unrespectful and discourteous!
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hydrotoxinlaser (talk).- There's no reason for that. Continue with this behavior and you will see further warnings. We are trying to help you understand, but you are fighting against us. If you have any questions about how to set up a signature appropriately, please let us know.
- Though, Doomhiker, I'm a bit more lenient on lack of signing on someone's own talk page. 15:37, 24 February 2019 (EST)

Maybe everyone here might be unintentionally misunderstanding the situation.
To customize your signature, just follow these steps:
- Go to your Preferences page.
- Under the Signature section, type in the raw coding for your signature in the "New signature" text box.
- If you prefer to use a template signature instead (which I highly recommend), create your signature page and enter the raw coding in there instead. Once you save that page, go back to the aforementioned text box and type in
{{subst:nosubst|User:Hydrotoxinlaser/sig}}
instead.
- If you prefer to use a template signature instead (which I highly recommend), create your signature page and enter the raw coding in there instead. Once you save that page, go back to the aforementioned text box and type in
- Check the box that reads "Treat signature as wikitext".
- Hit the save button at the bottom of the page.
Hopefully that's clear enough for you. If you need any more help, please be sure to let me or another user know. Thanks! (T|C) 16:22, 24 February 2019 (EST)
