Template:Minigame-infobox Take a Breather is a four-player minigame in Mario Party 4. Its name comes from the phrase "take a breather", which is a way to suggest taking a break from something.
Introduction
The game starts on a shot of the sun, then pans down to show the players on a dock.
Gameplay
The goal of the game is to take a deep breath and stay underwater the longest.
The players are given five seconds to breathe in air. After the five seconds are up, the players go underwater. The person that holds his or her breath underwater for the longest amount of time wins. If one of the characters holds his or her breath for seven seconds, a Boo Plate is added to the Present Room.
Ending
The losing players turn towards the winner, and the winner will wave. If all players did nothing, they do their losing poses on the dock.
