A Rotary Lift

Rotary Lifts[1][2] are spinning platforms that first appear in Super Mario Bros. 3, and later in the remakes with Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. There are three kinds of Rotary Lifts: those that spin for a short time and then stop before they resume spinning shortly afterward, those that spin endlessly, and those that tilt based on where the player is standing on them. They appear in Worlds 5-4, 6-4, and 6-10. The first of these is similar to the Spinning Logs from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
