This article is about Urchin Reef Romp, a level in New Super Luigi U. For other uses, see Sparkling Waters-2.

Urchin Reef Romp, or Sparkling Waters-2, is the second course of Sparkling Waters in New Super Luigi U. It is unlocked by completing Huckit Beach Resort, and its own completion will unlock Shish-Kebab Tower.

Layout

The level begins in an area with a Warp Pipe. Entering the Warp Pipe leads the player underwater, where they encounter three Big Urchins and water movement that can pull Luigi in to a pit. A ? Block is found above them. A pathway with six Big Eep Cheeps and Urchins moving up and down is traveled through. A Big Urchin is found, along with a ? Block containing either a Super Mushroom or a Fire Flower, depending on the players form. A large group of Big Eep Cheeps is found, along with a P Switch. A line of Big Urchins is found, along with a Warp Pipe. The Warp Pipe takes Luigi to an area with platforms above Big Urchins, along with the Goal Pole.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin can be found before entering the pipe, at the start of the level in a false wall next to the pipe.
  • Star Coin 2: It can be found underneath a Big Urchin, but Luigi must be careful not to be sucked in by the water movement.
  • Star Coin 3: The Fire Flower is needed, as Urchins block the path to it. Similarly to the second Star Coin, water movement is a hazard.

Luigi Sighting

  • A jumping 8-bit Luigi can be seen after taking the third Star Coin.
