Race Tracks

Ancient Lake
Ancient Lake, from Diddy Kong Racing The Ancient Lake track is set in a flat, green area with rock formations and a gray, stony path. The default vehicle for this track in a Kart. The second half of the level features a river and a wandering dinosaur. The dinosaur will occasionally cross the road and may trample over careless racers in the process.
Fossil Canyon
Fossil Canyon, from Diddy Kong Racing Fossil Canyon is a race track in a rugged area with dusty ways and the race takes place at sunset. The level features another dinosaur, but unlike the one from the Anciant Lake, this one will not interfere with the race. About halfway of the track, some ancient ruins can be seen.
Jungle Falls
Jungle Falls, from Diddy Kong Racing. Like Fossil Canyon, Jungle Falls takes place in another rugged area. On this track, even more ancient ruins and rock formations can be found. The most prominent feature of this course is the gigantic dinosaur skeleton that surrounds the road near the end of the track.
Hot Top Volcano
Hot Top Volcano, from Diddy Kong Racing. The Hot Top Volcano track of Dino Domain takes place in a cavernous area with volcanic activity. The course is traversed by Planes. Many areas of this track are overrun by lava and the dinosaurs from the first two tracks return, getting in the racers' way on occasion. Though the lava might look menacing, it has actually no influence on the racers.

Diddy races against Tricky

The boss of Dino Domain is required to be fought two times during the game. The first time after the player won on all tracks, and a second time after all the Silver Coin challenges are completed. The race itself takes place on a road that spirals it way up a mountain. The player has to beat Tricky the Triceratops in a race to the summit. Along the way, boulders will roll down the mountain that can flatten the racer. Several stone pillars may also collapse and block part of the way. If the player is not careful, Tricky may trample over the racer and slow them down. After the boss is defeated two times, the player receives a part of the Wizpig Amulet.

Fire Mountain

Fire Mountain

After the player collects the key hidden in Dino Domain, they will get access to Fire Mountain, where they can obtain a part of the T.T. Amulet. The challenge of Fire Mountain takes place in a volcanic area. The center of the arena houses eggs that can be picked up by a racer's plane. The racer has to carry the egg to his nest located in one of the four corners of the arena. By doing so, the egg will start to hatch. An unhatched egg can be picked up by an opponent who will take it to his or her own nest. After an egg has spent enough time in a racers nest, it will hatch, meaning that it can no longer be taken by anyone. The player who hatches three eggs first, wins.
