Like the previous | Like the previous topic from a few years back, it seems kind of excessive to have 5 separate enemies with different (Japanese) names combined into one page. I'd even be hesitant to keep the "Laser Pod" and "Spring" types together if they weren't both referred to as such (which I assume they are, might check the Mario Galaxy guidebook just to confirm). Not sure if the other variants were ever named, and I feel like we should split them up. Is this name official? Supermariofan14
The name "Sentry Beam" appears in the SMG2 Prima guide, and that's as official as we seem to have. Otherwise, the only other name I could find was on Wikipedia Japan, where each of the different types of Sentry Beam seem to be listed as: レーザーポッド (Jump Beamer), ジャンプビーマー (Laser Pod), リングビーマー (Ring Beamer), and ボールビーマー (Ball Beamer). However, there's a chance I misread the descriptions. Vent 15:03, 28 May 2012 (EDT)
Buoy Base Topman Sentry
Why isn't the Topman Sentry Beam mentioned on this article, or in a screenshot? If you don't know what I'm talking about, It's on the top of Buoy Base, and it is Green with Yellow squares, and shoots out Topminis.

That one should be listed, as it appears in the Japanese player's guide with the name Jump Garage (ジャンプガレージ). Vent (talk) 22:45, 20 September 2013 (EDT)
Split?
Would it be a good idea to split the Sentry Beams by type, especially the mobile one? The mobile one doesn't even emit a ring; it aims and shoots a laser at you. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 15:18, 6 November 2015 (EST)
