Introduction
The player, as well as any Piranha Plants and Lava Bubbles, pop out of the Warp Pipes and lava before the minigame starts.
Gameplay
Players must attempt to reach the goal line at the end using a pogo stick. They have to avoid hazards such as falling in the lava, getting bitten by Piranha Plants that pop out from pipes and hit by Lava Bubbles that pop out from the lava. If players touch one of the hazards, they lose.
Players can tell if a Piranha Plant is going to come out of its pipe or not. If a Piranha Plant pokes the tip of its lips out and gnaws, it comes out of its pipe. If the Piranha Plant does not gnaw, the Piranha Plant stays in its pipe. Additionally, Piranha Plants appear in only green pipes.
