Merge this template to the SMB3 templates

A Yellow Block from Super Mario World This talk page section contains an unresolved talk page proposal. Please try to help and resolve the issue by voting or leaving a comment.

I didn't realize that World-e was actually an entirely separate game from Super Mario Advance 4. World-e isn't like Mario Party-e, it's just another part of SMA4 that happens to be gated off, much like the amiibo of today. Beyond how they're unlocked, the levels themselves aren't particularly special, and they certainly don't feature many unique elements when compared to the rest of the game. No other world from any other game gets this kind of treatment. At most, there's a general navigation template that specifically lists levels and worlds, no more and no less, but the game already has one of those templates. If you're concerned about the large number of levels here, and how that wouldn't fit well into the existing template, I point you to Template:SMM Levels as an example of why that really isn't an issue. Any of the non-level elements can be merged into Template:SMB3 just as easily. Simply put, this level is overly inconsistent, and can be merged away with no issue.

Support

  1. Time Turner (talk) Per proposal.
  2. Toadette the Achiever (talk) Per proposal. There's no reason why they should be separate, especially if we're talking navigation templates; they should just receive an asterisk for being exclusive to Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3.
  3. Yoshi the SSM (talk) The reason I didn't split Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS levels from Super Mario Maker levels is because, well, they are similar to each other (some levels are based off of the original, though there are unique levels. The other reason was that Super Mario Maker is a game where you can create courses. These levels are "Super Mario Maker Official Courses". As for the proposal, the Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 Levels aren't separated from the other levels either.

Oppose

  1. LinkTheLefty (talk) The data for the World-e courses is not in the base game, and is written directly from the e-Reader cards. I believe this reason is sufficient to give them a special status from the other levels.

Comments

Before I vote or anything, does that mean you will merge Category:World-e with Category:Super Mario Bros. 3 Levels? I oppose merging those categories and would rather have the former as a subcategory of the latter, and get renamed to Category:Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 e-Reader Levels, as they're clearly different from the main game and should be regarded, at least in part, as such. The categories are not involved in this proposal. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 12:55, 23 November 2017 (EST)

@LTL: That definitely doesn't apply for the game's new releases (i.e. the Virtual Console port). Hello, I'm Time Turner. 14:23, 25 November 2017 (EST)
