Hm, they're just refered to generically as "gray Coins" in the Super Mario World guide. Which doesn't necessarily mean that "Silver Coin" is unofficial, though. Time Questions 13:33, 21 February 2010 (EST)

Offical name

Silver Coin is it's offical name because, I was searching super mario world stuff on google and i found some page saying that this name is offical. GalladeBlades

NSMB

So both this page and the P-Switch page refer to the silvery-blue coins in New Super Mario Bros./New Super Mario Bros. Wii as Silver Coins, but the Blue Coin page says that they're actually blue coins. Which type is it?--Vommack 20:52, 11 June 2012 (EDT)

OK, what we have here are some pretty clearly blue coins for SMB3 and NSMB, which work like the blue coins from SM64 and the later NSMB games, and are distinctly blue, and not silver. Addmitedly, it's a metallic blue instead of a deep blue, but they're still blue. Are they called "silver" in those games? If that's the case, I'd like to direct your attention to the Red Boo page, which has primarily pink and orange examples. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:49, 16 October 2017 (EDT)
