Items that involve quakes
*POW Block - When Mario jumps and hits the block, it sends a tremor that damages all grounded enemies in front of him and flips over Clefts and Koopa Troopas.
*Earth Quake - An item that shakes the ground. Its affects are the same as the POW Blocks, except it is much stronger.
Badges that use quakes
The Quake Hammer badges allow Mario to attack with earthquakes using his hammer. There are three variants in Paper Mario: The standard Quake Hammer, the more powerful Power Quake, and the most powerful Mega Quake. Each badge is a different color; all of them are variants of blue, each getting lighter the more powerful the badge is.

The Quake Hammer is also in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Instead of getting different variants, Mario can simply by more of the same simple Quake Hammer badge and equip them all to raise their effectiveness.
Other
There are some enemies use earth-shaking attacks, such as Macho Grubba.
