Menlo Park in Mario's Time Machine (SNES)
Menlo Park in the SNES release of Mario's Time Machine.

Menlo Park is an unincorporated community in the United States of America where Thomas Edison worked on countless inventions and innovations, notably the phonograph, the carbon microphone, and the incandescent light bulb. This light bulb was completed in 1879 through the use of a thin strip of carbonized bamboo, and in Mario's Time Machine, Mario travels back in time to 1879 Menlo Park to return the Filament after Bowser steals it. As he does not know that the Filament belongs to Thomas Edison, he asks the locals about the Filament, who all talk about Edison and how the Filament is almost certainly his. Eventually, Mario goes to Edison's workshop, delivers the Filament, and leaves Menlo Park.
