Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is an upcoming role-playing crossover title between the Mario franchise and Ubisoft's Raving Rabbids titles to be released for the Nintendo Switch. A tentative release between August and September 2017 has been revealed. The official premiere and confirmation for the project was to be revealed at E3, but artwork for the title leaked online on May 23, 2017. Following the leak, official sources at Ubisoft confirmed the authenticity of the project and provided further images of the title.[1]
Gameplay
The game is estimated to be composed of 35% exploration elements and 65% turn-based combat.[2] A multiplayer, local co-op mode has also been confirmed. The combat is weapon-based, with the weapons resembling guns. Eight different characters are playable: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, a Mario Rabbid, Luigi Rabbid, Peach Rabbid, and Yoshi Rabbid. The total length of the game is estimated to be about 20 hours.
The exploration aspect of the gameplay is controlled by Tuttorio, a new character to be introduced.[3] There will be seven enemy archetypes, and one mid-boss and boss per world; there are a total of four world environments.
