Template:Minigame-infobox Hand, Line and Sinker is a 1-vs-3 minigame found in the game Mario Party 3. The name is a pun on the phrase "hook, line, and sinker".

Gameplay

Three players dressed like fish have to avoid being caught by the other player who attempts to reel in the other three. If at least one of the three players avoids being caught, they all win, but if the other player catches all the players in the water, he or she wins.

Controls

Solo (1 player)

  • Control Stick – Left / Right ... Aim
  • Control Stick – Down ... Adjust Distance
  • A Button – Cast Magic Hand

Solo (3 players)

  • Control Stick – Adjust Direction
  • A Button – Swim Forward

In-game text

  • Game Rules"Reel in the 3 who have become fish. If all get caught, the single player wins."
  • Advice"You can move the Magic Hand a little after you cast."

Super Mario-Kun

A section of Super Mario-kun referencing the minigame Hand, Line and Sinker from Mario Party 3.

The minigame makes a brief appearance in issue 27 in Super Mario-Kun. It is revealed that the characters are in fish costumes. Mario is seen catching Peach. When he catches Luigi, he also reels Yoshi, who is biting Luigi.
