- This article is about the slot machine bonus game from Super Mario Bros. 2. For the bonus game from Yoshi Topsy-Turvy, see Bonus Chance!
The Bonus Chance (also bonus game, Bonus Stage[1], Slot Machine[2]) is a minigame found at the end of each course in Super Mario Bros. 2 provided the player has collected at least one coin in Subspace during the level.
The rewards vary between the 8-bit version and the Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance versions as follows:

- Cherry in left+center columns: +2 lives
- Cherry in all three columns: +5 lives
- Any other symbol in all three columns: +1 life
Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance
- Cherry in left column: +1 life
- Cherry in left+center columns: +2 lives
- Cherry in all three columns: +3 lives
- 7 in all three columns: +10 lives in All-Stars version, +5 lives in Advance version
- Any other symbol in all three columns: +2 lives
- Cherry in left column and 7 in the other two columns: +1 life and +3 coins (but the extra 3 coins can only be received once during each play)
