Kraid is a dragon-like monster that normally appears in the Metroid series as an enemy of Samus Aran. Mario can encounter this beast in the Brinstar Depths level in the game Super Smash Bros. Melee. Kraid will rise out of the magma and rotate the stage, sending players who are not quick enough into the magma pit. He can also hit player unlucky enough to get in the way of his large claws.

A trophy of Kraid can also be obtained in Super Smash Bros. Melee by unlocking the Brinstar Depths arena.

A boss enemy from Metroid. Kraid lives in the depths of Brinstar. He immobilizes enemies with his three red eyes, and his powerful jaws can crush anything.
