Template:Articleabout Template:SMRPG Moves Fire Orb is a fire-based special attack that Mario learns when he reaches Level three in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. The attack allows Mario to shoot small fireballs at one enemy. To do more damage than usual, the player should push repeatedly while Mario is unleashing fireballs. Fire Orb uses five FP and has a Magic Power of twenty points. This attack is useful in the first fight against Croco in Bandit's Way. When used against an enemy made of fire, the Fire Orb attack does no damage.
Mario can learn two more powerful versions of Fire Orb during the course of the game: Super Flame and Ultra Flame.
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, one of Mario's custom move for Fireball is also named Fire Orb and has a similar appearance to Super Mario RPG's Fire Orb. However, the custom move functions differently from the special move and there is no true indication that Super Smash Bros. Fire Orb is based on Super Mario RPG's.
