Egglings are the natives of Eggland and were attacked by the Koopa Troop during the events of Yoshi Topsy-Turvy. They managed to escape to Yoshi's Island, but they were turned into apples by one of Bowser's spell and trapped inside the pop-up book that Yoshi's Island had become with everything else. When prompted by the Spirit Who Loves Cuteness, Yoshi ate the apples and returned the Egglings to their old selves.
