HP Drain definitely doesn't work like this in Paper Mario 64: "his attacks become weaker by one, but he gets healed by one HP for every turn he attacks. This means that performing multiple attacks only heals him once."
In Paper Mario 64, I can confirm that jumps heal for two while hammer attacks heal for one, with healing from consecutive Power Jumps seemingly capping at 5 points healed. Could someone investigate the effect in TTYD to see if there's a difference?
