Big Bandits are green-colored Bandits that appeared in the game Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They could be found in the Glitz Pit and the Pit of 100 Trials. Big Bandits, like regular Bandits, can steal coins. However, the Big Bandit has one major difference from other Bandits - the Big Bandit has the ability to steal items as well. Contrary to their name, Big Bandits are not physically larger than ordinary Bandits. Instead, Big Bandits are actually Bandit leaders, or big "bosses". If a Big Bandit steals one of Mario's items, the plumber only has one turn to defeat the thief and recover the item.
