The Void in its beginning stage.

The Void is an interdimensional rift in the game Super Paper Mario. Its purpose is to increasingly grow in size before it starts to consume and destroy the universe. The Void was caused by the bringing of the Chaos Heart, which was created by Count Bleck after marrying Bowser to Princess Peach.

The Void, seconds before it consumes Sammer's Kingdom.

The Void first appears as an ominous, pulsing black hole that hovers above the town of Flipside. Over the course of the game The Void slowly grows larger and larger before finally, in Chapter Six, it destroys Sammer's Kingdom, obliterating it and leaving behind a stark, white realm.

The Void was closed after the Chaos Heart was destroyed by the Pure Hearts brought forward when Count Bleck and Tippi married, and Sammer's Kingdom was restored as a result.
